Simparel CEO Outlines New Technology Solutions for Business Survival

New York, N.Y., November 6, 2008 — In an educational session delivered at the Apparel Tech 2008 conference in New York, software industry leader Ron Grilli, Chief Executive Officer of Simparel, Inc. urged the apparel sector to leverage new technologies in order to maintain any competitive advantages in today's difficult economy. Simparel showcased its new generation global supply chain enterprise solution during this industry event, held at the Fashion Institute of Technology on November 5-6.

Grilli called on the audience to assess both the flexibility and the total cost of ownership of their current technology platforms in light of the demands that will fall on fashion businesses as they strive to remain competitive in these difficult economic conditions. He stressed that the time to adjust is now, by replacing outdated legacy business processes in order to prepare for tomorrow's market requirements. Grilli stated, "Decisions you make today will affect your business tomorrow."

Citing a recent report from Benchmark Capital on the current financial crisis, Grilli said, "Companies built during tough times typically have incredible focus, great cultures and a true desire to compete and win in all environments." Cautioning those whose inclinations might be to just maintain a status quo, he continued to explain that this slowdown opens the opportunity to retool. "Act now in order to avoid having to ask yourselves when it's too late 'what decisions do you wish you had made?'"

Grilli also noted that it is increasingly more important for IT departments to demonstrate their value-add to the businesses they serve. Being just a 'necessary overhead' isn't good enough to be a catalyst towards future success. He added, "Businesses can survive today and grow tomorrow if they demonstrate flexibility, speed and timely action in their business execution."

In discussing the specifics of global supply chain management, Grilli explained that with new technologies come new choices. Businesses no longer have to tolerate inflexible or costly systems, nor do they need to accept lengthy and painful implementation projects that also result in user dissatisfaction and disappointment. New technologies can dramatically outperform their older counterparts who are not nimble enough to consistently deliver new solutions in a constantly changing global economic landscape.

Closing on a positive note, Grilli noted companies such as Simparel are the new wave, perfectly suited to today's business needs. "These companies differentiate themselves with fast, flexible and affordable solutions that are engineered for change. The one certainty in the future is that more changes are inevitable."

The Simparel global supply chain enterprise solution is unique in the industry because it delivers fully comprehensive solutions without writing programming code. This allows Simparel to deliver a complete system, totally user-configurable, in a fraction of the time and for a fraction of the cost of competitive systems.
